Why Use My Services?

Most people will spend at least one third of their adult life working. Therefore, employers are in a unique position to influence the lives of their employees for the better. Research is now showing that there is a link between human happiness and human productivity. For this reason, it is useful for organisations to be actively supportive of their employees or volunteers' well-being.

Creating mutually helping working environments has many advantages. It is inherently natural to want to do our best, to take pride in how we are and what we achieve. It also biologically feels good when we help others. Environments that encourage and nurture these processes will create conditions for workers to be engaged, cooperative, creative, productive, loyal and happy. Organisations that develop, nurture and promote a culture that factors in employee or volunteer well-being will attract and retain the 'right' employees. They will gain genuine respect and a good reputation that will become known within the sector, field or business world within which they are located.

My consultancy is inspired by my own knowledge that happiness, fulfilment and pride in work is hugely beneficial for all stakeholders. Most employers have a sense of that but sometimes, for varying reasons, the intention to create a healthy environment gets lost within other interests. I can help balance all necessary interests to include employee well-being.

Individual Leadership Consultancy

This service is for CEO's, Directors or Senior Management who would benefit from a trusting relationship in which organisational and personal dilemmas are explored with complete confidentiality. As an independent consultant, I would not need to be known to other team members and discussions would not inadvertently get leaked into the organisation or my client's personal life. My reflections and views would solely be in the best interests of my client and their well-being.

Leadership Coaching

It can feel lonely leading teams and it can feel very reassuring to have access to a coach that is independent from a work location.

My coaching approach allows clients to develop their own style of leadership. My role is to be helpful and supportive and work with my client to identify changes he or she would like to implement as well as formulate plans that they can work towards. We will be able to enjoy together the successes achieved, as well as me offering support and guidance during challenging times.

Specialised Sensitive Coaching – Addiction – Bereavement

There can be sensitive human conditions that become evident as part of daily life, including addictions, stress and depression. As an experienced therapist and team leader, I can support individuals through complex situations in a way that is supportive of their own needs for respect and dignity with an accountability to employment arrangements.

There are also events that happen as part of life such as bereavement. Although working is possible after loss of a loved one, and in some ways might be beneficial, research shows that humans are unlikely to be optimally performing in the workplace after this type of event. An employer can respond to employee grief by respectfully developing organisational assistance. I am able to sensitively offer support and work out with employees during the process of bereavement what additional needs they will inevitably have and create together plans to support these needs.

My Motivation

I love my work and have a desire to do my best for those I am commissioned by. Through my own experiences of work place settings, I have observed where employee morale has been enhanced or reduced by leadership or management approaches. It is my belief that, it is all of the people who make up organisations, who will drive success regardless of their roles. However, it is through a respectful, relational and inspirational organisational culture that best practice, strong production and great reputations occur.

My consultancy is relational and personal because I believe work is both those things. Employment is not separate from life it is part of it. Great work experiences have the power to increase happiness not only in the workplace but within families, communities and society as a whole.
